We all have a starting point, and for Laura, that was in 2012 when her oldest was diagnosed with severe food allergies. She had a choice when this diagnoses came - either spend a lot of money on allergy friendly processed food OR learn about nutrition, what's in food, how to read labels, and learn how to up her cooking game. She chose the latter - and ever since then, it has been a journey leading her to a healthier life.

In August of 2013, Laura became an online health coach. This decision solidified her healthier lifestyle and over the course of 3 years. Since the journey started, Laura has become certified as a Piyo group fitness instructor, P90X group fitness instructor, and a Cize group fitness instructor, and as a Nutritional Therapist. She has learned so much about nutrition with this and how to properly navigate it.

One of those navigation courses was meal prepping. It was a good way to eat, but not efficient. Once her husband, Gerardo, came on board about a year and a half into her journey, it became easier to accomplish but still VERY time consuming.

Over time, this husband and wife kitchen duo developed the concept of food prep in place of meal prep. Their efficiency was MUCH better and they still ate extremely clean. Their kids ate better as well, and they were able to start helping in the kitchen more with this kind of prep. Now, they don't meal prep hardly ever - they only food prep and their refrigerator is always full of amazing, clean, healthy foods!
